Ready to take the next step in your career? Your new opportunity might be right here. We are looking for a HE Tech Journeyperson to join our team in Surrey, BC. As our Heavy Equipment Technician, you’ll play an integral role in performing major diagnostics and major repairs and servicing all equipment with minimal supervision. You are responsible for providing the highest quality of service and complying with the company’s established policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for developing and coaching apprentices.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician.
  • In-depth understanding of diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to access product information.
  • Proficiency in providing solutions to problems in a timely manner with minimal assistance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to read various system diagrams.
  • Personal systems for organizing work, ensuring preparedness with information, parts and specialty tooling prior to attending a worksite.

Responsibilities

  • Performing major diagnostics and major repairs on all equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Servicing all equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Providing the highest quality of service and complying with the company’s established policies and procedures.
  • Developing and coaching apprentices.
  • Reporting customer satisfaction, trends and other useful information to your service supervisor.
  • Reporting any possible leads for equipment sales to the sales team.
  • Developing rapport with customers and being the eyes and ears of the branch; taking opportunities to make a difference.
  • Listening actively and performing competence analysis of apprentice technicians.
  • Identifying areas for apprentices to improve and providing on the job training to assist in their development.
