HDPE Operator in Training
About The Position

The HDPE Operator in Training will learn to operate, monitor, and maintain high-density polyethylene (HDPE) extrusion and processing equipment. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on training under the guidance of experienced operators, preparing the trainee to independently run production lines while adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Positions are available on 2nd shift from 3 pm – 11 pm ET and 3rd shift from 11 pm – 7 am ET.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in shifts as required.
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced HDPE operators in the setup and operation of extrusion, molding, and cutting equipment.
- Learn to monitor process variables such as temperature, pressure, and speed to ensure consistent product quality.
- Observe and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HDPE production.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or operational issues.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area, complying with all safety regulations (PPE, lockout/tagout, etc.).
- Participate in training sessions on quality standards, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Record production data and maintain accurate logs as required.
- Support inventory management, including raw materials and finished product handling.
- Follow environmental and regulatory compliance procedures related to HDPE production.
