About The Position
B.H. Inc. is seeking a high-level Horizontal Directional Drill Operator for our western U.S. operations. This role is critical for executing large-scale utility projects, directing quality, and ensuring compliance. The operator will work directly with the HDD Foreman and is expected to lead with minimal supervision. The company emphasizes a family-oriented atmosphere, a commitment to safety, and developing people. This position requires significant travel.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of dedicated HDD Operator experience.
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Expert proficiency with Falcon F5 and Ditch Witch controls.
- Ability to travel 90% of the time (typically 4–6 week stints).
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (No sponsorship available).
Responsibilities
- Operate Ditch Witch rigs (JT25, AT60, JT60) and guide drill bits using the Falcon F5.
- Perform pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Lead utility pot-holing and manage tooling changes for various ground conditions.
- Maintain a proactive, positive, and professional attitude toward site safety.
