Position Overview The HDD Laborer / Bore Crew Member supports Horizontal Directional Drilling operations by assisting the drill operator and locator with jobsite setup, tooling, materials handling, and general construction tasks. This role is critical to maintaining efficient drilling operations and ensuring safety and quality standards are met on every project. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to build a career in underground telecommunications construction and directional drilling operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) or underground utility experience
  • Experience working in telecommunications or fiber construction environments
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Directional Drill Operator and Locator with daily HDD operations
  • Set up and break down drilling equipment, tooling, and jobsite materials
  • Handle drill rods, tooling, and materials during bore operations
  • Support potholing, conduit installation, and product pullback operations
  • Assist with trenching, hand digging, and restoration tasks as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
  • Help maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Perform other construction duties as assigned
