About The Position

Crew members are primarily responsible for working with a crew to install erosion and sediment controls (e.g. silt fence, inlet protection) that are commonly used as Best Management Practices (BMPs) at construction sites. This position requires working outdoors with prolonged exposure to the sun. Crew members work a standard work week, Monday- Friday mostly in the field; and may be required to work extended hours and weekends, as needed. On occasion, the Crew members may travel to other regions in Alabama/Florida to support SpreadRite’s growth in new regions.

Requirements

  • Some experience with construction phases, landscaping, or similar field experience.
  • Willing to learn new skills (operate trencher, ride-on blower, skid steer, other equipment).
  • Work independently and as a team member.
  • Good attendance and driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience installing/repairing silt fences, inlet protection, and other common BMPs used at construction sites.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate time required for work orders and monitor the time taken to complete jobs.
  • Install, maintain, and repair sediment and erosion control measures (silt fence, inlet protection, turbidity barriers) at construction sites.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment.
  • Safely and efficiently drive and operate a company vehicle and trailer.
  • Other duties as assigned.
