To ensure the accurate coding of diagnoses which fall into the HCC model as required by CMS for Medicare Advantage plans. To ensure documentation of diagnoses meets the requirements set forth by CMS and the Official ICD-10-CM Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Requirements

Coding Program Certificate, or 2 years of equivalent experience
Proof of 10+ hours ICD-10-CM training or AAPC ICD-10-CM Assessment certificate
CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist-Physician) or CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CPC-A or CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder)
ICD-10-CM Coding knowledge
Proven analytical. High attention to detail. Efficient. Flexibility. High work ethic. Team building
Proven ability to speak write and understand English
Demonstrated excellent problem solving, written and verbal skills
Proven ability to work with people of various educational, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.

Nice To Haves

HEDIS experience
Knowledge of Medicare and other government or third-party coding rules
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
