About The Position

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the United States that provides grain, food and energy resources to businesses and consumers around the world. CHS Sun Basin in Moses Lake, WA is looking for a Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team. This individual is responsible for hauling petroleum products (diesel and gas) to our customers in a timely manner. This is a M-F home daily position with weekends as needed based on business needs.

Requirements

Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)
Valid Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required
2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience
Must meet age requirement
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.

Nice To Haves

The ideal candidate would possess a Class A CDL with hazmat and doubles/triples endorsements (or ability to obtain)
Some local driving experience
Demonstrated experience hauling hazardous materials
Demonstrated safety performance and consistent adherence to procedures in hazardous materials operations.
Demonstrated customer service and communication skills; interact professionally with internal teams and customers.
Demonstrated experience completing tanker product transfers (loading/unloading) and related documentation in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Safely transport and deliver hazardous materials to customer locations using a semi-tractor and trailer and or bobtail truck in a safe, compliant manner, and timely manner
Load and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses; follow all hazardous material handling and transfer safety procedures
Deliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams as needed
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report equipment issues, maintenance needs, incidents, or near misses promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed
Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs
Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness. Immediately notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns
Perform additional duties as assigned
