About The Position

Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking student workers to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's Havoc House restaurant in the GCU Arena. This application allows students to submit their information for multiple available positions at Havoc House, including Wait Staff, Bussers, Hosts, Expeditors, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers. If selected for an interview, candidates will discuss available positions with the manager to find the best fit.

• Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays
• Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Significant walking or other means of mobility
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with customers, as well as coworkers, professionally
• Completes required tasks with the highest quality of work as a fast learner
• Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures
• Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments
• Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
