Hauling Software - Autonomy Feature Owner

As a feature owner and software developer focusing on autonomous mining & quarry trucks, you’ll own and break down complex features and collaborate with team members to execute them. You'll contribute to the development of new autonomous truck models and features that provide critical value to our customers. Every day you will work with your team to solve real world problems by selecting the right approach and bringing those solutions to production.
Requirements
- Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
- Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
- Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into the software product design.
- Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
- Skilled at programming in C++
- Outstanding leadership qualities
- Familiarization with core robotics principles
- Strong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in an accredited Robotics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree
Responsibilities
- Participate in various aspects of the development process including design, documentation, coding, product quality, and validation
- Develop production quality C++ software
- Support requirements generation and architecture decisions and tradeoffs
- Support functional safety software design and validation process
- Design and break down complex software features
- Collaborate with and direct team members to execute on goals
