About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role operates off-road haul trucks or similar heavy mobile equipment to transport raw materials safely and efficiently across the quarry site. The operator will conduct pre- and post-operation inspections, follow established procedures, and communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members to maintain smooth operations and support site productivity. General plant duties may also be required.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to operate or quickly learn heavy mobile equipment safely and effectively
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Mechanical awareness with the ability to identify basic equipment issues
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment
• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check

Responsibilities

• Operate off-road haul truck (or similar heavy mobile equipment) to transport raw materials safely and efficiently across the quarry site
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any issues
• Follow established production, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members to maintain smooth operations
• Support site productivity by maintaining consistent haul cycles and assisting with general plant duties as needed
