About The Position

Source Energy Services is seeking a Haul Truck Operator for their Peace River, AB location. The Haul Truck Operator will perform duties in compliance with safety standards, operate various sizes of Haul Truck equipment (30 tons and 45 tons articulated haul truck), and potentially learn on other heavy equipment. Responsibilities also include cleaning and performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, reporting defects, and assisting the plant operator to ensure plant productivity. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different personalities
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to observe proper safety precautions.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties in compliance to appropriate safety and security standards to reduce risk to employees and damage to property.
Operate various sizes and weights of Haul Truck equipment (30 tons and 45 tons articulated haul truck) and potential to learn on other heavy equipment.
Clean equipment, perform routine inspections, provide preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, and report defects to management.
Assist the plant operator to ensure plant productivity.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
