About The Position
Austin Bridge & Road is seeking Haul Drivers with a Class A or Class B CDL for construction work in Gainesville, Texas. Drivers operate trucks and related equipment, including water trucks and transport vehicles, and perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance. The role requires safe operation at construction sites, including off-highway driving, and familiarity with securing heavy or oversized loads. Work hours may be adjusted to meet project needs and may include days, nights, and weekends. The position also requires working in adverse weather and hot or cold temperatures.
Requirements
- Provide the last 10 years of work history when completing the application.
- At least 12 months of relevant driving experience in the construction industry.
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety.
- Thorough operational knowledge and skills with trucks and related equipment, including water trucks and Class A CDL transport vehicles.
- Experience driving off-highway at construction sites.
- Pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, and pass a TXDOT physical.
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures in the Employee Handbook and applicable state and federal requirements.
- Maintain a current state-issued Class A or Class B driver’s license.
- Know and adhere to DOT rules and regulations.
- Have an MVR record that meets Company and DOT standards.
- Be familiar with securing heavy and/or oversized loads.
- Be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
