About The Position

This position performs various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Duties include feeding the separator, sanitizing empty hatcher racks, grading eggshells and culling chicks on a moving conveyor, and returning clean trays to empty hatcher racks. The team member may be assigned to other hatchery areas as needed. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00 a.m. until processing is complete. Wednesdays are rotational and are required when scheduled. The role is on 1st shift and pays $17.10 per hour. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Ability to stand and work in a stationary position throughout an 8–9-hour shift.
Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout an 8–9-hour shift.
Ability to perform a moderate amount of stooping and bending.
Willingness to accept and carry through on requests and directions.
Willingness to learn other duties as needed.
Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Feed the separator, including removing trays from hatcher dollies.
Sanitize empty hatcher racks.
Grade eggshells and cull chicks on a moving conveyor at a rapid speed.
Receive clean trays from the tray washer and place them back into empty hatcher racks.
Work in other hatchery areas when needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
