About The Position

This position performs various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Duties include culling unthrifty chicks from the chick line to help ensure healthy chicks are sent to broiler facilities, and cleaning and sanitizing incubation machines, hallways, the plenum hallway, drains, and other areas throughout the facility. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor. The position is at the Humboldt Hatchery in Tennessee and pays $16.95 per hour. Personal protective equipment is provided at no charge. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Work 10-hour days.
Work holidays that fall on scheduled workdays.
Be willing and able to meet the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Meet the 180-day waiting period from the last termination date.
Must not have worked for Tyson three times previously.

Responsibilities

Cull unthrifty chicks from the chick line during processing.
Clean and sanitize the inside and outside of incubation machines, hallways, the plenum hallway, drains, and other facility locations.
Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
