ITC Hatchery - Hatchery Worker Labor (Egg Setter) FT- 1st Shift
About The Position
This position is responsible for setting eggs, moving racks of product weighing approximately 900 lbs. or greater consistently throughout the day, approximately 48 racks, and/or boxes throughout the facility. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe workspace, operating machinery, counting, reading, scrubbing, soaping, rinsing, disinfecting, mopping, or buffing to meet all sanitation requirements. Additionally, the team member will practice safe and delicate egg and chick handling, and promote proper Animal Welfare Guidelines. This is a heavy lifting job requiring flexibility and the ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods in varying environmental conditions.
Requirements
- Must have 6 months consecutive work history with one employer within the previous 12 months
- Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl
- Animal Welfare background check is required
- Only applicants from Washington, Benton, and Madison counties in AR, or Adair County in OK, or within a 50-mile radius of the ITC Hatchery will be considered
- Must be able to lift approximately 30 lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach for long periods of time- up to 10 + hours a shift
- Must be able to work in an area with a high concentration of allergens such as chick down, dust etc.
- Must be able to work in a climate ranging from cold to hot temperatures with high humidity
- Must have a flexible schedule
