About The Position

Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers who perform various duties in a hatchery processing environment. This includes mixing vaccines, loading vaccines into robots, preparing, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment, processing chicks, and cleaning/sanitizing and monitoring hatchery equipment for repair. The role also involves ensuring correct chick quantities and services for customers, entering daily information into the computer, and addressing customer complaints and minor issues. Additional duties may include packing eggs, assisting in training new team members, ensuring adherence to biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety procedures, and maintaining a clean work area. The position requires adherence to strict biosecurity protocols, including showering and changing clothes before entering the facility, and avoiding contact with avian species. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

At least six consecutive months of work experience with the same employer and no additional gaps in employment greater than six months with the last 36 months. If applicant was laid-off, providing eldercare or childcare, the six month gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history criteria will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
Must currently have and consistently maintain 4 attendance points or less.
Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must use safe lifting techniques.
Must regularly lift and stack chick boxes (wheeled dolly) weighing up to 12 pounds.
Will occasionally be required to push or pull stacks of boxes up to 125 pounds.
Regularly required to stand and walk majority of shift (concrete floor).
Must be able to sit.
Must use hands to handle or feel objects and controls.
Must be able to reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to balance.
Must be able to perform climbing/ladder usage.
Must be able to talk or hear.
Must be able to drive a vehicle within the farm complex.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.

Identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.
