About The Position

CWT Farms International is currently looking for individuals for a Hatch Crew position. This position will be responsible for transferring eggs from the setter to the hatcher and will take care of cleaning and sanitizing machines, floors, walls, and ceilings. The role involves ensuring cleanliness throughout the hatchery building, preparing newly hatched chicks for sexing and farm delivery, and handling day-old chicks in accordance with welfare standards and SOPs.

Requirements

• Must be able to complete repetitive work and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
• Must be able to perform tasks with limited supervision
• Proven reliability in work attendance and willingness to give best effort
• Must have own reliable transportation
• Ability to handle moderate physical work
• Work with chemicals, such as detergents, disinfectants
• Stand for extended periods of time (6 hours)
• Grip, grasp or twist using hands and wrists
• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs
• Bend and stoop repetitively throughout shift
• Prolonged exposure to dry and dusty environments
• Routine handling and interacting with day-old chicks
• Ongoing presence of hatchery related debris, smells and odors
• Climate exposure both hot and cold
• Working in damp and/or wet environment
• Working in a loud/noisy environment
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at time of hire and must maintain authorization to work in the United States throughout their employment with our company.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness throughout the hatchery building
• Clean and sanitize machines, tables, floors, ceilings, etc.
• Transfer eggs from setters to hatchers
• Make boxes and perform other general duties
• Handle day-old chicks in accordance with welfare standards and SOPs
• Meet all operating procedures as outlined by company policy
• Prepare newly hatched chicks for sexing and farm delivery
• Perform other duties as assigned
