About The Position

This position requires the use of a knife to kill chickens that the kill machine misses and to monitor the line for bent shackles. The role is responsible for ensuring all birds are properly deceased before continuing down the line. The position involves working in hot, dark, dusty, wet, and bloody environments, requiring the use of hands and arms above shoulder level, and standing for 8-10 hours a day. It also requires standing on a metal platform up to 100% of the shift, with repetitive bending, twisting, stooping, lifting, and reaching. The role involves using both hands and arms to pick up live birds.

Requirements

• Ability to use knives and scissors.
• Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard.
• Must be able to understand and agree to follow all Safety Rules.
• Must provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times will not be accepted.
• Rehires accepted after 180 days.
