About The Position

Responsible for preparing meat products for sale while ensuring health and safety standards are met. Prior experience on a harvest floor is required. This position has openings on B shift; candidates should speak with the recruiter for details. Work schedules are established according to operational needs and management discretion, and may be changed as required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in harvest production is required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Two years of experience in a food manufacturing environment or six months of experience in a fresh pork processing facility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports and business correspondence, manage time effectively, and meet specified deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English or Spanish.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or company employees.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations and understand advanced statistics and statistical analysis for process control.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or schedule form.
• Ability to use computers and standard industry programs and learn and use other available programs.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including moving around the facility, standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders.
• Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 80 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manually handle product.
• Use hand tools, including knives, machinery, and equipment.
• Check products to ensure they meet USDA standards.
• Monitor machines and equipment and adjust them when necessary.
• Adhere to safety procedures and policies.
• Perform additional duties as requested by a supervisor.
