This role involves working in an area where livestock will be slaughtered. The work environment is characterized by wet and humid conditions, temperatures near or below freezing in coolers and freezers, and areas with unpleasant odors. Employees will also work in damp or cold conditions (30-40 Degrees in Fabrication) and extreme heat (up to 104 degrees on the Harvest floor). The job requires lifting, pulling, or pushing up to 50 lbs, and working with sharp knives or cutting tools. Overtime and weekend work, including Saturdays, may be necessary. The position is physically demanding, involving repetitive hand and body movements, bending, stooping, and twisting throughout the shift in a fast-paced environment. Job rotation between different tasks is expected. It may take 5 to 6 weeks for the body to fully adjust to the work conditions, environment, and job descriptions.
