About The Position
As the Harvest Backup Knife Labor, you are responsible for ensuring proper cut and bleed out on the birds and removing birds that do not meet standards. This is a fast-paced position that works alone the majority of the time. This position will also be required to rotate into the live hanging position to perform live hanger duties as required.
Requirements
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Physical ability to repeatedly grasp and lift birds while using the knife
- Ability to stand without difficulty throughout the day
- Ability to work around blood at all times, in a humid, wet environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach
- Ability to work in a dusty, hot, and humid to cold and damp environment on slippery surfaces
- Jobs are fast paced and require repetitive motion
- Some positions require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 40 lbs
- Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching and pulling
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
