About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Sports Flooring Foreman who can take ownership of a hardwood gym flooring project and ensure it is completed correctly. This is not an entry-level position; we are looking for someone with a proven track record in hardwood gym and athletic flooring. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the finished product, leading a crew, operating equipment, and ensuring jobsite safety and quality control. We offer year-round work and are looking for someone who wants to build a career with us.
Requirements
- Experience with hardwood gym and athletic flooring.
- Proficiency with rider sanding machines.
- Proficiency with walk-behind sanding machines.
- Experience with edging and detailed sanding.
- Understanding of sanding sequences and proper floor preparation.
- Knowledge of oil-based sealers and finishes.
- Knowledge of water-based sealers and finishes.
- Experience with gym floor paints, game lines, graphics, and logos.
- Experience with hardwood floor installation, refinishing, and maintenance.
- Experience running a small crew.
- Experience running an active jobsite.
- Experience with quality control, production, and jobsite safety.
- Comfort being responsible for the finished product.
