Our Hardware Technology team is responsible for Apple’s breakthrough custom silicon and hardware technologies including battery, applications processors, storage controllers, sensors silicon, display silicon and other chipsets across Apple’s entire product line. In this internship, you will have the opportunity to work among the best engineers in the world on our Hardware Technology team. Positions are open in but not limited to: Digital Design & Implementation, Circuit Design, Design Verification, Functional Verification, Formal Verification, Low Power Design, Power Management Systems, Physical Design, Post Silicon Validation, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, Packaging & Productization, Performance & Functional Modeling, Performance Architecture, Computer Architecture, Analog Design, Mixed Signal Design, RF Design, Antenna Design, Wireless Communications, Battery, Camera and Display Engineering, CAD, Firmware, Platform Architecture, Sensing Power and Haptics, Wireless Cellular, GPU, CPU, SoC, AMS.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, or related field of study.
  • At the end of the internship, you must return to school to continue your education or the internship must be the last requirement for you to graduate.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous demonstrated internship or project work in computer architecture, VLSI, design, logic design, or circuit design
  • Understanding of formal methods or verification
  • Camera/touch/display engineering: optics, flat panel/HW, touch mechanical design; design and implement experiments validating new materials (optical, mechanical); optimization for performance and reliability
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple functional teams across a variety of disciplines
  • Experience with C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, Perl, Spice is beneficial
  • Experience with Timing, Synthesis, Ansys, COMSOL
