About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for a Hardware Technician in Andover MA. As a Hardware Technician you will read and interpret schematics, printouts, and technical specifications to perform testing and verify functionality. You will conduct tests and evaluations on assigned functional areas to ensure product and equipment performance. You will ensure testing instruments and equipment are regularly calibrated and verified for accuracy. You will participate in debugging and troubleshooting activities for new and existing procedures, equipment, and products. You will develop and implement new test programs and testing procedures to support emerging technologies. You will document test results, identify issues, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, or a related technical environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, drawings, specifications, and test documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with testing equipment, calibration processes, and validation procedures.
  • Knowledge of test program development and execution.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating new test programs and procedures for advanced or emerging technologies.
  • Hands-on experience debugging complex equipment, products, or systems.
  • Familiarity with electronics, manufacturing, engineering, or product testing environments.
  • Ability to work independently on complex technical issues.
  • Equivalent high-level experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
