About The Position

The Hardware Technician installs and sets up computer systems, including software and network cabling. The role diagnoses computer and equipment problems and repairs or replaces equipment or parts. The technician tracks assigned inventory and maintains daily logs of field activities, mileage, and expenses. The position is based in Piney Flats, Tennessee, requires travel up to 90%, and includes overnight travel.

Requirements

• Knowledge, education, experience, or expertise in computer hardware and repair, software installation, and basic Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Ability to set up and build computer systems and peripherals.
• Ability to diagnose and repair or replace equipment and parts.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving knowledge.
• Good customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel overnight.

Nice To Haves

• A+ certification is desired but not required.
