Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience working with server hardware, data center operations, or related IT infrastructure roles
  • Understanding of server hardware components (CPUs, memory, storage, power supplies, network interfaces)
  • Knowledge of data center operations including rack installation, cable management, and environmental monitoring
  • Ability to follow established procedures and apply technical knowledge to complete assigned tasks
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work in data center environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • US Citizens Only
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • CompTIA A+, Server+, or similar hardware certifications
  • Experience with Dell, HP, Cisco, or other enterprise hardware platforms
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing systems
  • Basic Linux or Windows server administration knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and decommission servers, storage systems, and network equipment in data center environments
  • Follow established procedures to complete rack and stack operations, cable management, and hardware labeling
  • Apply troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve hardware failures and performance issues
  • Complete routine hardware maintenance tasks including component replacements
  • Support data center operations by monitoring environmental conditions and responding to alerts
  • Convey technical information clearly with team members, clients, and vendors during hardware-related activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of hardware inventory, configurations, and maintenance activities
  • Follow safety protocols and data center security procedures at all times
