About The Position

This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations. Huntington Ingalls Industries: Mission Technologies is seeking several Technicians to work multiple DoD contracts, onsite in Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidates will support the design, build, troubleshooting, delivery, maintenance and support of numerous trainers and test systems for both the Army and the Navy. Requirements

  • AA Degree in related discipline + 1 year of related experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related experience.
  • Secret Security Clearance required at hire

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and understand Production Drawings
  • Ability to read and understanding Wiring Diagrams
  • Familiar with Cable building including build up of cable assemblies
  • Familiar with Electronics testing equipment i.e. Voltmeters, oscilliscopes
  • Some supervisory experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
