About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer II to serve as the primary Quality Engineer for assigned programs. In this role, you will operate under general supervision, following established procedures while taking ownership of quality deliverables.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Physics, etc.).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems, such as AS9100.
  • Ability to use a PC, including Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and manage task priorities generally set by the program.
  • Understanding of cross-functional workflows (Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Test).

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical engineering drawings and environmental testing of electronic assemblies is preferred.
  • ASQ relevant certifications (i.e. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or others).
  • Quality audit experience.
  • Aerospace/defense industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering requirements.
  • Experience contributing to Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Primary Quality Engineer on assigned programs.
  • Complete End Item Data Packages (EIDP) with minor oversight.
  • Review Statements of Work (SOW), generate Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), and complete Required Verification Methods (RVM) with guidance.
  • Bring most Material Review Boards (MRBs) to closure; support complex MRB dispositions and root cause analysis with minor assistance.
  • Execute containment measures, create cause maps, and propose corrective action plans for Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
  • Support formal testing, Customer Source Inspections (CSIs), and Quality Evaluation Verifications (QEVs) to meet schedule milestones.
  • Contact various functional groups and customer counterparts; submit customer documentation using customer portals.
  • Support audits and customer meetings effectively.
  • Hold the program accountable for lab cleanliness, MRB/FRB decisions, and other quality metrics.
  • Understand various SEAKR work groups, roles, and expectations.
