Responsibilities
- Install clinch fasteners and other hardware components into fabricated sheet metal using hardware insertion equipment.
- Ensure accurate, repeatable, and efficient installation of fasteners to engineering specifications.
- Operate hardware presses to install a variety of clinch fasteners into sheet metal components.
- Configure and adjust bowl feeders to optimize feed rates, minimize handling, and maintain consistent insertion cycles.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to confirm fastener type, placement, and orientation.
- Inspect and validate installations to meet dimensional, mechanical, and repeatability requirements, reporting nonconformance to quality and/or supervisors as needed.
- Maintain machine reliability through setup, adjustment, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, following safety policies without exception.
- Assist with other duties as assigned with fabrication and assembly processes.
