About The Position

The Hardware team in the Data Center Central Engineering Department develops evaluation boards and reference designs at data rates of 200G+/lane, for internal silicon evaluation and supporting customer designs of Marvell’s high-speed ODSP, PCIe and AEC products. The team is responsible for signal and power integrity simulations, component selection, schematic and layout designs, and exploration of advanced board and packaging technologies. Qualified candidates have opportunities to work with a group of talent engineers, providing lab support in silicon validation, hardware development and board bring-up testing. Working closely with PCB design engineers and validation engineers, this position involves testing, troubleshooting, and validating hardware/software systems. The technician ensures system requirements are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency of Marvell’s products for next-generation AI/datacenter applications.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a formal degree
  • A minimum of 1-3 years related experience in lab testing, engineering, or related technical fields
  • Experience working closely with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to meet project deadlines
  • Hands-on experience in using various lab equipment for measurements, system testing and troubleshooting
  • Flexibility with work schedules
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CAD software and system modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, Simulink) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct eval board bring-ups, testing and debug to confirm circuit designs
  • Assist engineers in evaluating test results and modifying system components as needed for various engineering projects
  • Conduct system tests and simulations to validate design concepts and functionalities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues during the testing phase
  • Maintain detailed records of system configurations, test plans, and results by documenting any changes made to designs or systems during the testing phase
  • Support the integration of hardware and software systems as part of the overall system design
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of system components
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and smooth project execution
