Teradyne is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and validate high-current, high-power sourcing and switching hardware for semiconductor automated test equipment (ATE). This role involves a focus on design verification, power delivery, transient response, regulation, protection, thermal management, and system integration for advanced SoCs, FPGAs, and other high-power devices. The engineer will be responsible for power-delivery modules from concept to production release, working closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, mechanical, and test engineering. Key activities include leading the bring-up, design verification, and lab characterization of these modules, utilizing various measurement tools to test design assumptions and performance. The role also entails designing protection and fault-response systems, conducting reliability analysis, and collaborating with firmware teams on control and telemetry. Ensuring modules meet ATE requirements for timing, triggering, synchronization, and software control is crucial, as is developing test programs and supporting integration with other test hardware. The engineer will also partner with product, test, and silicon engineering teams to define requirements, mentor colleagues, and contribute to design standards.
