About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer with a Secret security clearance to work from our beautiful Colorado Springs location. This position is contingent upon the program award expected in June, 2026. As a Hardware Engineer you will be responsible for design, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and all documentation required for the ground systems as assigned. You will also be responsible for systems development, design, ongoing maintenance, trouble ticket resolution, device configuration, crypto device support, system/equipment fielding and deployment, troubleshooting and other duties as assigned. Our work week is Flex 9/80A. Evenings and weekends may be required occasionally based on program schedule (installation) or customer outages (troubleshooting). This is a day-staff position, located at Peterson Space Force Base. After-hours support may be required. This position and the team will require an on-call component for 24/7 emergency support.

Requirements

  • Hardware Installation experience
  • Experience with hardware design and documentation
  • Understand cable drawings
  • Must be willing to travel 10% locally
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • An active Secret Clearance is required for consideration
  • 1+ years of professional experience
  • BS degree

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate spectrum analyzers/ firebird network analyzer
  • Ability to travel to install sites and lab/test locations

  • VoIP experience.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for design, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and all documentation required for the ground systems as assigned.
  • Be responsible for systems development, design, ongoing maintenance, trouble ticket resolution, device configuration, crypto device support, system/equipment fielding and deployment, troubleshooting and other duties as assigned.
  • Create and update interconnects, rack elevations, and design documentation
  • Conduct Periodic Maintenance Inspections for lab equipment.
  • Report metrics and completion to program management
  • Maintain lab tool and part inventory.
  • Review and report system obsolete components.
  • Coordination with system administration, network engineers, and other functional areas.
  • Support Ad hoc tasking and stretch assignments as outlined by leadership.
