About The Position

Responsible for reviewing product requirement documentation (PRD) and create a feasibility study to implement requirements. Once product is approved, create Technical Product Specification (TPS) document. This role involves schematic design based upon TPS and feedback to the board design group concerning component placement, as well as directing and reviewing PCB layout. The engineer will supply product specifications to manufacturing and provide feedback during product initial release, and will be involved in product sustaining during the product lifecycle. The role also requires maintaining a working knowledge of new technologies and developing recommendations, staying up to date on company products and project goals to identify barriers and opportunities, and conferring with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products. Additionally, the engineer must maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties are performed safely and develop and administer schedules and performance requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of schematic design experience
• Knowledge of high-speed PB design techniques
• Basic knowledge of “C” programming language
• Understanding of networking: Ethernet, Fiber, PCI based designs.
