About The Position

As a Hardware Engineer II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing advanced hardware components and systems for aerospace applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware solutions meet stringent performance, reliability, and safety standards. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid work schedule. Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F. In this role, you will impact the development of innovative aerospace hardware technologies that enhance system capabilities and support Honeywell’s leadership in aerospace innovation and safety. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of electronic hardware design, circuit analysis, and PCB layout principles.
  • Proficiency with hardware design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or similar EDA software, and experience with hardware testing equipment and methodologies.
  • Experience with aerospace hardware standards and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with aerospace certification standards such as DO-254 or MIL-STD.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and integration with hardware components.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate aerospace hardware components ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering and software teams to integrate hardware with overall system architecture.
  • Conduct hardware testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis to improve product reliability and performance.
