About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Hardware Development Lead for development programs within its Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) business. The role leads a multidisciplinary team of 5–10 or more electrical, mechanical, and design drafting engineers developing rugged custom electronics, including high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuit cards for demanding environments. The Hardware Development Lead drives technical excellence by leading design reviews and architecting hardware strategies that support program success and system reliability. The role also mentors and develops the team, coordinates technical work across engineering, procurement, operations, and program management, supports program capture and proposals by defining hardware baselines and estimating technical effort, and executes the Hardware Development Process while addressing complex engineering challenges on aggressive schedules. The position uses a hybrid work format combining collaborative, in-person laboratory work with remote focus time. BAE Systems describes a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, flextime, telecommuting, and recognition for extraordinary technical contributions.
