About The Position

BAE Systems' Model Based Engineering Capability Group is seeking an engineer to help advance Model Based Engineering and Digital Engineering practices. The role champions the rollout of Jama Connect as the preferred requirements management tool across the Electronic Systems sector, supporting programs that have traditionally used DOORS Classic. The engineer contributes to implementation of best practices, training materials, and onboarding programs, solves complex technical problems involving requirements management, and guides programs in their requirements management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 6 or more years of Systems Engineering experience, or a master's degree in a STEM field and 4 or more years of Systems Engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing requirements and developing strategies using requirements management methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• At least 1 year of experience using Jama Connect.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
• Ability to contribute to Jama training materials, best practices, and processes, and guide programs in requirements management activities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience defining data schemas.
• Experience developing Velocity templates.
• Experience with MagicDraw/Cameo and DOORS Classic.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and task management tools such as Jira.
• Classroom and on-the-job teaching experience.
• Electronic Warfare (EW) experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams and leadership to contribute to Jama Connect training materials and company best practices.
• Apply knowledge of requirements management processes, practices, and tools to solve complex technical problems.
• Guide a program in its total requirements management activities.
• Help champion the rollout of Jama Connect as the preferred requirements management tool across the Electronic Systems sector.
