The team focuses on solving systemic issues, driving development changes, and building mechanisms to efficiently operate infrastructure at the Edge and Data Center. As a member of the AWS Hardware team, you will collaborate with subject matter experts in compute, memory, storage technologies to deliver an optimal customer experience in cloud computing. Requirements

  • BS degree in EE, CE, or CS
  • 3+ years of experience with complex server, storage or network server designs
  • 3+ years of experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, functional test procedures and operational repair plans
  • 3+ years of experience with debug and root cause analysis of PCIe, memory, storage subsystems or networking
  • 1+ years of advanced support experience managing customer escalations to quickly identify root cause and resolve issues in a large scale production environment (data center or similar)
  • Working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production

Nice To Haves

  • MS degree in EE, CE or CS
  • Technical background in server design or architecture, specifically having led the development of multiple complete servers
  • Experience with server technologies: BIOS, BMC, signal integrity, memory, storage, PCIe, thermal
  • Experience with deploying and operating hardware and applications at scale
  • Developed monitoring and alerting systems to quickly identify and categorize failures in production environments
  • Proven results oriented person with a bias for action

Responsibilities

  • Interface with internal and external customers to understand project requirements and facilitate system development on top of server designs
  • Solve operational challenges to the existing fleet with the goal of improving current customer experience
  • Develop improved systems for future designs
  • Work directly with vendors and ODM/JDM design teams to develop and manufacture products at scale
