Requirements

  • BSEE, CSE, or equivalent and at least 1 year of engineering experience.
  • Strong technical writing capability and solid communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PC architecture and a good understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment such as DMMs, DSOs, Logic, Spectrum and Network Analyzers.
  • Experience and ability to troubleshoot electronic hardware issues to the component level.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
  • Experience using Cadence Allegro and Orcad CAD design suite.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a knowledge of how to handle and assemble electronic hardware and the use of basic hand and power tools.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently and as a team.
  • Competent at keeping notes, tracking tasks, and an ability to multi-task and balance workload.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FPGA development in network applications.
  • Experience using Linux OS, Bash, or Python
  • Experience programming in VHDL, C, or TCL
  • Knowledge of high speed serial communication systems and related PCB signal integrity concerns.
  • Experience performing circuit and/or signal integrity simulations.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior engineers to design, validate, test, and release complex PCBA and system assemblies.
  • Support prototyping, bring up, and the integration of hardware assemblies.
  • Perform clear documentation of hardware design specifications, design validation documents, and failure analysis reports.
  • Draft and drive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) against prototype and production hardware.
  • Provide research and guidance to support electrical component selection, component EOLs, and component replacement issues.
  • Provide entry level support for high-speed design simulations.
