About The Position

Builders Supply is the Midwest’s largest independently owned lumberyard, owned 100% by its employees. For more than 70 years, Builders Supply has provided service to contractors and the public for all of their commercial and residential building needs. As a Customer Service Representative, you are responsible for providing knowledgeable service to customers and contractors. As well as stocking and taking inventory of Hardware products.

Requirements

• Customer service experience
• Desire to learn extensive product knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (physical, drug test and lifting test)
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
• Minimally must be able to lift >25 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product inquiries, including quotes and availability
• Efficiently process sales orders and transactions
• Provide assistance to sales team, contractors, and walk-in customers
• Stock products on shelving
• Retrieve and put away products in the Warehouse
