About The Position

Join our team this summer! We’re looking for enthusiastic team members to work with us from May to September, with the exciting opportunity to grow into a permanent part-time or full-time role based on your performance and our operational needs. As a Hardware Clerk at Ucluelet Co-op, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized service to our valued members. Requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Attention to detail and accuracy
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
Physically demanding tasks including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and occasional stair climbing.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
Knowledge of home improvement tools and projects is an asset

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Ensure the store and warehouse are neat, clean, and well-merchandised at all times
Assist with general stock duties in the hardware department, including stocking shelves and facing merchandise to maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
Perform receiving duties when required
Have a good working understanding of the till operation
Come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude
Be dependable on all scheduled shifts
Provide outstanding courteous customer service
Be familiar with and adhere to all Ucluelet Co-op policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
