About The Position

FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. This role is responsible for managing a team of hardware installers, kitting and installing helicoils, cutting gaskets or masking, and installing dowel pins, keencerts, captive screws, pem nuts/studs, and Lee plugs on various materials with little to no direction. The position also involves polishing sealing surface lay patterns, assisting in the development of new processes and procedures, ensuring accurate router accompaniment for work orders, reading blueprints and tooling instructions, working independently on repeat tasks, utilizing shop paper procedures, and training new and existing employees.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Machine Tool Technology
Minimum ten years work experience
Between three and five years of trade school, vocational education, or four years formal apprenticeship
Extensive knowledge of CNC programming

Responsibilities

Manage a team of hardware installers.
Kit and install helicoils for jobs.
Cut gaskets or masking.
Install dowel pins, keencerts, captive screws, pem nuts/studs, and Lee plugs on repeat or proven parts with all levels of complexity on various materials such as aluminum, steel, plastic and copper with little to no direction.
Polish sealing surface lay patterns on variety of post anodize parts.
Assist in the development of new processes and procedures.
Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders.
Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
Work independently to complete repeat tasks with little supervision.
Utilize shop paper procedure including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting.
Train new employees and cross train existing employees.
