About The Position

The Hard Skills Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering employer-driven training programs that equip PACE clients with the technical skills necessary for employment and career advancement. This role manages hybrid (in-person and virtual) learning environments, collaborates with employer partners to develop customized curricula, and tracks measurable outcomes in training completion, certification, and job placement. The ideal candidate is an experienced facilitator with a background in instructional design and a passion for empowering at-risk and vulnerable populations through workforce development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Workforce Development, Human Resources, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience delivering training or facilitating workshops for adult learners.
  • Strong presentation, group facilitation, and engagement skills for diverse learners.
  • Cultural competence and the ability to work with vulnerable and underserved populations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver sector-specific training curricula based on employer needs.
  • Facilitate training sessions in a hybrid format for 150–200 clients annually.
  • Collaborate with employer partners to co-create skill-building programs.
  • Leverage digital tools and e-learning platforms to reduce paper and improve tracking.
  • Evaluate outcomes and adjust content based on workforce trends and participant feedback.
  • Develop and implement 5–7 custom hard skills training curricula annually.
  • Deliver 10–15 hybrid (in-person/online) training sessions per month.
  • Integrate evidence-based practices into 100% training modules for relevance and impact.
  • Collaborate with 10+ employers annually to co-design role-specific technical training.
  • Create and distribute at least 5 new e-learning modules annually using authoring tools and LMS platforms.
  • Achieve a 90% completion rate for e-learning assignments among enrolled clients.
  • Implement digital evaluation tools in all training programs to reduce paper usage.
  • Conduct post-training evaluations with 85%+ average client satisfaction score.
  • Ensure 80%+ of employer-partnered training participants receive direct placement opportunities or interviews.
  • Demonstrate a 70% job placement rate within 90 days for credentialed programs.
  • Track outcomes such as completion rates, certifications, and job placements; report quarterly.
  • Update curricula within 30 days of identifying new trends or employer feedback.
  • Submit weekly and monthly training performance reports to leadership.
  • Support Fedcap-wide initiatives by developing employer-partnered engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to cross-departmental projects to enhance service delivery and employment outcomes.
  • Integrate at least 2 new instructional strategies annually to support diverse learning styles.
  • Attend at least 2 industry conferences or professional development events each year.
