About The Position

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology is seeking a clinical researcher to be appointed to the Harbert Endowed Chair in Mood Disorders. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a specialized area of clinical practice, supported by a substantial research program. This recruitment aims to enhance mood disorders research within the department, and candidates should be recognized leaders in their specific field of mood disorders work. We are looking for tenure-eligible faculty members who can be appointed at the Associate or Professor level. Applicants must have an MD, MD/PhD, or a clinical psychologist PhD degree, or equivalent, and demonstrate a robust clinical research program in mood disorders. Clinicians must be license-eligible in the State of Alabama.

Requirements

  • MD, MD/PhD or a Clinical Psychologist PhD training or equivalent.
  • Vigorous clinical research program in mood disorders.
  • License-eligible in the State of Alabama (for clinicians).
