HANGER- CARRIAGE
About The Position
This role is responsible for processing salable apparel by categorizing, tagging, sizing, and hanging it onto racks. The position involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, assisting with quality control, and accurately documenting production. The Hanger-Carriage will also transport hung apparel to the sales floor, assist with apparel rotation, and perform dressing room checks as needed. A key performance indicator is maintaining a hang count of 100+ pieces per hour. The role requires adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and participation in assigned training and other duties as directed.
Requirements
- Ability to keep work area clean, neat, safe and organized.
- Ability to categorize apparel for appropriate processing (sizing, type and colorization on rack).
- Ability to place all salable apparel in the hang area of the sort table, tag and/or size apparel, and hang apparel onto racks.
- Ability to assist with quality control assurance (checking for tears, stains, broken zippers, buttons).
- Ability to ensure accurate production documentation.
- Ability to transport racks of hung apparel to sales floor.
- Ability to assist with apparel rotation and dressing room checks as directed/needed.
- Ability to maintain accurate hang count with the goal of 100+ pieces hung/hour.
- Ability to maintain processing area and work output in a neat and clean condition at all times.
- Ability to adhere to all GGC and personnel policies and procedures.
- Ability to follow good safety and security practices, including reporting safety hazards and injuries.
- Ability to perform assigned duties within the framework of Guiding Principles.
- Willingness to participate in activities outside of Goodwill.
- Willingness to attend in-service related training as assigned.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
