Mr. Handyman is growing its team of handyman professionals and is looking for highly skilled craftsmen who can perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance for home and commercial projects. Requirements

  • Must be available to work scheduled shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • 10+ years of experience as a paid handyman.
  • Own your own tools.
  • Be insurable for driving a company vehicle.
  • Complete a background and driving record check.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds independently.
  • Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time.
  • Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle.
  • Strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following: Carpentry work, Bathroom improvements, Kitchen improvements, Painting (inside and out), Drywall work (minor and major repairs), General plumbing and electrical (where allowed by law), Floor installation and refurbishing.
  • Familiar with building codes.

  • Organized, self-motivated, and reliable without direct supervision.
  • Ability to speak with customers, provide excellent customer service, ask for reviews, and collect payments.
  • Ability to use technology.
  • Ability to document jobs following the Mr. Handyman Way process.

Responsibilities

  • Completing small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, with project lengths ranging from two hours to two days or more.
  • Communicating with customers to explain necessary work, manage expectations about the scope of work and costs.
  • Delivering a great experience to create life-long repeat customers by following the Mr. Handyman Way process.
