About The Position

All American Facility Maintenance is seeking a skilled Handyman - Project Lead to supervise, coordinate, and support a team of handyman and maintenance technicians. This full-time role involves assigning daily work orders, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of completed work. The Project Lead will also perform hands-on repairs, respond to emergency requests, and train junior technicians. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, ensuring proper maintenance of tools and equipment, coordinating with vendors, and enforcing safety standards. Regular communication with management regarding project status and workforce needs is essential.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of general maintenance, handyman, or facilities repair experience
  • Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or service instructions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of supervisory or lead technician experience preferred
  • OSHA certification (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and support a team of handyman and maintenance technicians
  • Assign daily work orders and prioritize tasks based on urgency and client needs
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met
  • Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks as needed (plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, etc.)
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot on-site issues
  • Train and mentor junior technicians to improve skill level and productivity
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, materials used, and job completion status
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and company vehicles are properly maintained
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors when necessary
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding project status and workforce needs
