Handyman - Personal de Mantenimiento General
About The Position
JLL is seeking a dynamic Handyperson to join their team in Juncos, Puerto Rico. This is a regular, on-site position with primary working hours from Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with availability for other shifts if needed. The role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, protecting, and beautifying various interior and exterior areas of the facility. This includes performing tasks in painting, minor carpentry, plumbing, flooring, roofing, doors, and windows. The Handyperson will execute repair and painting techniques, move furniture and equipment, install accessories, perform pressure washing, and utilize hand tools and portable equipment. They will also operate elevated equipment like aerial lifts and scissor lifts, handle interior floor installations and repairs, perform simple plumbing tasks, and assist mechanical technicians. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, using portable and fixed ladders, and accessing roofs and mechanical areas. The role also involves documenting work orders in computer systems (CMMS) and receiving ongoing safety training.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in general maintenance tasks.
- Ability to document work orders on a computer.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
- Ability to work at heights (aerial lift), access roofs using fixed ladders, and work in areas with potential noise and temperature changes.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Adaptability to changes.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, protect, and beautify various interior and exterior areas of the facility.
- Execute work in painting, minor carpentry, plumbing, flooring, roofing, doors, and windows.
- Perform maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks under the direction of a supervisor or team leader.
- Implement repair and painting techniques for interior and exterior walls.
- Move furniture, equipment, and shelving in work areas.
- Install accessories, corner guards, pictures, curtains, whiteboards, signs, and carpets.
- Pressure wash exterior surfaces, sidewalks, and adjacent areas of buildings.
- Utilize hand tools and portable equipment.
- Operate elevated equipment such as aerial lifts and scissor lifts as needed for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Perform interior floor installations and repairs.
- Carry out simple plumbing tasks.
- Assist mechanical technical staff with tasks such as door operation, air curtains, and air conditioners.
- Lift weights up to 50 pounds, use portable ladders, climb fixed stairs to access different building levels, and access roofs and mechanical/utility areas of the facility.
- Document work orders on computers in required information systems (CMMS) or equivalent.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
- Receive ongoing training to perform work safely.
