About The Position

TruBlue Westlake is launching in Austin and is seeking skilled Part-Time Handymen for steady, flexible work. This role is ideal for semi-retired tradesmen, contractors between projects, or skilled craftsmen seeking reliable hours that fit around other commitments. The company handles scheduling, sales, and collections, allowing technicians to focus on the work. TruBlue Home Service Ally is a national franchise with over 120 locations, specializing in handyman repairs, home maintenance, and senior-safety modifications, with a mission to help seniors age in place and provide peace of mind to busy families. The Westlake franchise serves Westlake, Rollingwood, West Lake Hills, Tarrytown, and central Austin.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on residential home repair, remodeling, or general construction experience.
• Broad multi-trade skill set with a strong carpentry foundation.
• Strong customer communication skills; comfortable interacting with customers in their homes.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for photos and scheduling apps.
• Punctual, dependable, honest, and professional in appearance and behavior.
• Valid Texas driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and a full toolset.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to complete a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality home repair and maintenance projects across multiple trades.
• Represent TruBlue in customers' homes, ensuring clear communication, respectful conduct, and a clean work environment.
• Walk customers through completed work, take before-and-after photos, and document jobs accurately.
• Diagnose issues and propose appropriate solutions for customers.
• Maintain tools and job materials in clean, professional condition.
• Uphold TruBlue's standards for quality, safety, and customer care.
