Handwritten Notes & Problem Solving (Paid Data Task, Remote, Contract)
About The Position
This is a paid, remote task in the Kled app. Contributors photograph or scan pages of their own handwritten lecture notes, problem sets showing their work, derivations, or diagrams, then upload them through the app. Pages must be flat, photographed or scanned straight on in good light, and legible throughout. Printed pages and other people's writing are not accepted; pages must not be cropped to remove margins or working, and faint or skewed images may be rejected. Payment is $0.20 per accepted page, with no fixed submission cap. Each page is reviewed, and submissions that break the rules are unpaid. The task is available worldwide in 100+ countries, with work completed remotely on the contributor’s own schedule. Contributors opt in to a commercial training license for each upload; accepted submissions are licensed to AI labs. This is piecework performed as an independent contractor, not an employment position.
Requirements
- Be 18 or older.
- Have an iPhone running iOS 18.6 or later; the Kled app is currently iPhone-only.
- Use the phone camera inside the Kled app.
- Submit original handwriting; printed pages and other people's writing are not accepted.
- Ensure images are legible, not faint or skewed, and do not crop out margins or working.
Responsibilities
- Photograph or scan pages of your own handwritten lecture notes, problem sets with work shown, derivations, or diagrams.
- Lay each page flat in good light and capture the whole page straight on.
- Check that every line is legible before uploading.
- Upload submissions in any language or script through the Kled app.
- Follow the task rules and opt in to a commercial training license for each upload.
