About The Position

This entry level position is located in Goose Creek, South Carolina. The employee will be responsible for issuing and receiving materials for the plant via the computer system. The position will manage inventory, issue and receive goods, purchase and acquire materials within prescribed limits, and handle safety equipment. This position provides assistance to corporate accounting, supply chain management, material management and all other storerooms throughout the company.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• This position requires heavy lifting (minimum 50 lbs.) so candidate must be in good physical condition.
• The successful candidate will be mechanically and electrically inclined and have good communications and human relations skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
• Completion of high school or equivalent (i.e., GED) is required.

Nice To Haves

• SAP and Maximo experience is preferred.
• Previous storeroom, warehouse, materials management or plant operations experience is preferred.
• Prior forklift experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment is desired.
• Availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime and must respond to call outs in support of plant Operations and Maintenance.
